ABOUT YOUR PRACTITIONER
Trained as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Scott Billings completed his formal education at Victoria University (Australia) and abroad in Taiwan, majoring in acupuncture, massage and Chinese diet therapy. He went on to do a five year apprenticeship under a Japanese acupuncture specialist and has since completed post grad. studies in Manaka, Toyohari and Kiiko Japanese Acupuncture styles. Scott is a qualified academic practitioner of the Australian Branch of the Toyohari Association and past academic dean of the Melbourne Branch for many years. He has been a senior lecturer at the Australian Shiatsu College for thirteen years teaching diagnostic techniques (pulse and tongue diagnosis), moxa & cupping as well as TCM theory.
Japanese styles of acupuncture are renowned for their comfort and effectiveness. The training is highly specialised and ongoing training over many years under the guidance of advanced practitioners develops a subtle touch and a deep insight into the workings of the body.
